The survey provides an overview of the GDPR compliance of the websites of the audited advertisers and their front office practices for managing personal data. A finding established, thanks to an audit of the websites of 100 French companies and players operating in France(1). For 16 sectors studied, one common point: a still embryonic consideration of future obligations in terms of collection and processing of data and consumer information .
GAFA and other pure players stand out for their advance. French players must move forward on the four pillars of GDPR compliance French players or those operating in France still have many points to clarify to achieve a satisfactory degree of compliance with the GDPR, before its entry into force on May 25, 2018.
Their level of compliance is still low overall, with regard to the four principles of personal data protection that the GDPR specifies : purpose, transparency, conservation and security.
